Why the hell are there butt stickers inside an ecosystem that also contains a 100-plus-page practitioner’s theory about human agency? Because one of the things I’ve learned moving through life is that sometimes my ass is out. And that’s okay.

I think we all need to become more comfortable with the fact that there will be moments when we are exposed, embarrassed, ridiculous, grieving, confused, wrong, underprepared, or simply not presenting the polished version of ourselves we would have preferred. Exposure does not equal incapacity.

Having your ass out does not negate your competence, intelligence, dignity, judgment, or capability.

Sometimes your ass is out.
